I do know someone who decided to have a positive mid-life crisis. She wrote a children’s book on microfinance and it turned into a non-profit organization that appears to be thriving.

That’s perhaps the sort of thing that a male would do. Women usually plan to travel more and to engage in artistic activities. I have the intention of learning how to play the piano. This year I started yoga and shiatsu. Also, I have a contract for a book signed (and only ten lines written so far) which is another thing I want to do before it is too late.
The mere of thought of time passing so fast (nothing to do with beauty fading or silly things like that) depresses me.

I think you’re too young to have a mid-life crisis. Those usually involve buying expensive cars and acquiring trophy spouses.

An enthusiastic middle-aged is quite a rare occurrence!
I won’t be 47 for a while but wish that I could retire NOW. It must be a sort of middle-age crisis.
