Future batteries may still be lithium
It’s difficult to look out 20 years and see what technology will power cell phones, electric vehicles and the smart grid, and then write about it in 900 words or so. The short answer is, lithium ion might still be the technology that matters, but there’s a lot happening in the smart grid that will affect how things play out.
